how it worksBy interrogating the properties of your data, we can review the metadata of your files to gather permission hierarchy and retain edit history. We then apply metadata and logical structure to your files, retaining ownership, structure & improving discoverability.
From the enhance stage we then apply the knowledge gained as your files are moved into the new system. File folders and structures will be retained, edited and creation files kept. Files which have links in them can be updated to reflect the new cloud based locations.
With the prep work complete, we can start the migration phase, transferring the newly enhanced files and metadata into their new location. Files remain in both systems, with reports providing real time success of items and overall results.

When we have prepared the rules and enhancements to your files, we are ready to transform.
This is done in the database, so your source files are safe from change, and allows us to perform test runs on the data, and resolve any issues that may arise.

Once we have applied the transformation rules and run test “virtual” processing on the data, we are ready to load it to the target system. Source users will be mapped to target users, to retain ownership, metadata will be applied as the data is moved and the files will be copied to the target system.
Files in the source will remain as is and aren’t changed, to ensure your data is protected.

- With the rules in place and metadata agreed, we perform a pilot run of the migration and allow for internal UAT testing.
- With the pilot approved, we are ready to migrate the data over the course of a few days or for very large datasets, weeks.
